Introduction
We try to put our faith into practise in our daily life
as individuals and our common life as a church.
We are committed to supporting those who
try to make the world a better place. To that end we
are involved in the Fair Trade Campaign and have a Fair
Trade stall every Sunday. We also support Christian
Aid and in addition choose four other charities for
which we raise money each quarter. Recent charities
have included The International Cancer Centre in Neyyour,
India, the local Fair Trade shop, so that they can upgrade
their premises, and The Medical Foundation for the Care
of the Victims of Torture. The children raised money
for The Lady Hoare Trust for children with arthritis.
We also respond to one-off appeals such as Christian
Aid's Special Appeal for Iraq.
We also try to make sure that we have
plenty of things happening on site which we hope have
a positive effect on us and our neighbours. We run some
things ourselves, some in partnership with others, and
we also provide space for other users who share our
aim of working with people to create a better community
regardless of their beliefs, race, gender, age and sexual
orientation. We hope that this is reflected in what's
on offer at the church and our future plans.
